Dear members and friends of Grace & Peace,

With the resumption of in-person worship, the elders and deacons want to remind everyone of the guidelines for assembling.

In order to keep everyone safe and comply with guidelines from public officials as well as our friends at St. James UCC, the following policy is being observed for the foreseeable future:

  1. Maximum space utilization in the Fellowship Hall will be 50%, which translates to 50 persons. If you are planning to attend in-person, please use this link to sign up for in-person Sunday Worship.
  2. Masks will be required at all times while in the St. James building.
  3. Physical distancing will be observed.
  4. Proper sanitation procedures in all areas including the Fellowship Hall and the restrooms
  5. Restrooms will be available, but there will be no use of the nursery.
  6. No food or drinks will be permitted in the Fellowship Hall.

For everyone’s safety, the following procedures will be in place on Sunday morning:

  1. Please use the right entrance as you are facing the building from the street.
  2. The deacons will be disinfecting all surfaces, including the chairs, prior to your arrival.
  3. The deacons will assist you to your seats. Please wait for a deacon when entering the Fellowship Hall.
  4. The chairs will be arranged by families per the signup sheet and physical distancing will be observed.
  5. All worshippers will be required to wear masks while inside the St. James building. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided.
  6. Hand sanitizer will be available.
  7. We will be observing the Lord’s Supper using pre-packaged elements. The elders will serve the elements to the congregation.
  8. There will be hymn singing during the service. You are encouraged to sing using only a normal speaking voice while masked with proper distancing per CDC guidelines.
  9. We will not be collecting an offering during the service. An offering plate will be located at the entrance.  We continue to encourage the use of Vanco/GivePlus for offerings.
  10. There will be no hard copy bulletins at the service. You can print your own or use your smart device to access the permanent online site for the order of worship by following this link. There is a link to the PDF file of the weekly bulletin in each Sermon item on our website.
  11. Only the handicap bathroom will be in service.
  12. No food or drinks will be permitted in the Fellowship Hall.
  13. Once the service has ended, please exit the Fellowship Hall in an orderly fashion.

As a reminder, individuals with health-related issues or concerns about gathering with others in public should remain at home and join in the service via our YouTube channel.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me or any of the elders and we will help to resolve those matters.

In Christ,
Tom Albrecht
